ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(includes but is not limited to the following)
Make sure all tables are set completely both before and after shift.
Maintain tables throughout service, clearing dishes between courses and empty glassware, as necessary.
Must demonstrate pride, attention to detail and have knowledge of all aspects of a restaurant (i.e., menu items, food prep, service standards, bar concept, etc.)
Supplies the dining room and individual guest tables with clean China, silverware, glassware, utensils, linen, etc.
Assist food servers in service of complimentary Water, Tribal Corn Soup, and Bread service
Change tablecloth and reset tables as quickly as possible after guests leave the restaurant.
Moves tables throughout the dining room to be able to set up and accommodate the need of the reservations. Prepare sections and side stations, i.e., make sure tables are cleaned and set properly.
Possesses a keen sense of timing and can discreetly speed up or slow down his/her service as needed.
Monitors tables closely and is attentive to guests' needs. Remains attentive to the needs and requests of the customers during their visit.
Be knowledgeable and proactive in promoting casino events and programs.
Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
Removes dirty dishes, soiled linens, glassware and silver from table and counter tops, then carries items back to the dishwashing area
Refills water glasses and coffee upon request of guests
Resets the tables and performs other related duties as requested by Food Server
Assist Food Server with wine service or preparation as needed
Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner
Outstanding example of and a credit to Downstream Casino Resort.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
Must be at least 21 years of age
1 - 2 years prior bussing or food runner experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, staff, and management.
Must possess a pleasant personality, as well as present a neat and professional appearance.
Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of upscale food and beverage products and service standards
Work requires professional interactions with customers, Tribal members, and co-workers
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be able to multitask on multiple levels
Must be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license and liquor license.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening

Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, and pull, as well as lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 50 lbs. or more repeatedly.
Able to use hand motions when preparing and pouring all types of drinks for customers and servers
Able to use hand motions when cleaning and wiping bar areas
Able to bend, pull and carry bar stock to and from refrigerators and cabinets
Able to operate the following equipment: point of sale systems, juice guns, cutting boards, liquor guns, soda guns, ice machines, shot glasses, mixers, pourers, knives, coffee machines, frozen drink machines, iced tea machines, and other necessary equipment
