EHS Specialist TheEnvironmental Health & Safety Specialist's main responsibility is to ensurethat the day to day environmental and safety activities are being completed perthe site Environmental Health and Safety Plan. Job SummaryEH&SFacilitation, Administration and Site Management Responsibilities: Lead the monthly facility safety committee meetings.Help complete incident investigations.Handle all necessary documentation related to injuries including but not limited to near miss, first aid, accident and incident investigations, and reporting.Ensure environmental compliance through disposal arrangement, hazardous waste records, wastewater reports, storm water plan, chemical usage reports, air quality reporting, solid waste disposal and fire department business plan.Responsible for development and sustaining safety program in facility through goal deployment process.Maintain environmental excel spreadsheets such as VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and paint usage logs for monthly, quarterly and annual reportingHelp Regional EHS Manager analyze EHS data to determine validity and qualityCollect samples for SWPPP, Hazwaste and Industrial wastewaterCoordinates with such agencies as the Environmental Protection Agency, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Sanitation Districts, Fire Departments, both State and County Health Agencies, DOT and other local environmental agencies, as well as administration of programs prescribed by these agencies.Training, Inspections and Auditing Responsibilities: Responsible for safety training, coordination, and distribution of all weekly safety training topics for all employeesEnsure safety inspections are completed and track corrective actions to completionResponsible for surveys, safety committees and proper record keeping of all safety eventsTrainmanagers/supervisors and leads on GENSUITE softwareEH&SMetrics and Performance Management Responsibilities: Successfully deliver continuous improvement for the PerformanceCenter for the following metrics: Lagging Indicators: Lost Time Incident; OSHA recordablesLeading Indicators: First Aid and Near Misses; Successful regulatory audits/inspections; Successful completion rate of closing action items; Successful completion rate of all EHS compliance calendar items; Successful completion rateof all scheduled inspections Required Skills and Qualifications Computer knowledge and skills, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and EHS management software such as GensuiteAbility to work independently and a good attention to detailStrong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to manage numerous projects and meet deadlines as requiredAbility to work effectively even under pressureTeam oriented with a continuous improvement outlook Required Experience and Education Bachelors degree in EHS related field required.
