The Agile Delivery Lead (ADL) is responsible for coordinating Agile delivery across multiple teams within a Sub-domain, ensuring alignment to business objectives and fostering Agile maturity. The ADL partners with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Engineering Leaders to optimize team collaboration, remove cross team impediments, and drive continuous improvement.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

  • Works across multiple Agile teams in a Pod or Sub-domain, ensuring alignment, coordination, and efficient delivery.

  • Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Engineering Leadership to identify and resolve cross-team dependencies.

  • Drive Agile delivery at the Pod/Sub-domain level, ensuring teams work together to achieve business goals.

  • Mentor Team Coaches (Scrum Masters) to improve their facilitation, team coaching, and Agile maturity.

  • Establish best practices for Team Coaches (Scrum Masters) within the Pod/Sub-domain to ensure consistency in Agile adoption.

  • Identify and remove cross-team impediments that individual Team Coaches cannot resolve.

  • Track and report Pod/Sub-domain level Agile metrics (cycle time, throughput, velocity across teams).

  • Escalate and coordinate risk management related to dependencies, resourcing, and business needs.

  • Implement Agile ways of working across the Pod/Sub-domain and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate Pod/Sub-domain level planning and retrospectives to drive alignment across teams.

  • Work with Product Owners and Engineering leaders to refine backlogs across multiple teams.

EDUCATION
Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), or SAFe Agilist (SA).

Preferred:

  • Additional Agile certifications (SAFe, Kanban, ICP-ACC, CSP-SM) preferred but not required.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • 4+ years as a Team Coach (Scrum Master) OR equivalent Agile facilitation experience supporting multiple teams.

  • 6+ years of experience on an agile delivery team in a fast-paced technology or financial services or insurance environment.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required:

  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills across multiple teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, ensuring alignment between teams and leadership.

  • Proficiency in Agile tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Rally, etc.)

  • Advanced people management skills, demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates in a technology environment; including the ability to delegate effectively.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and work under tight timelines; demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities and manage team dynamics in stressful conditions.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with various software development methodologies; demonstrated ability to discern "fit for purpose" methods and apply rationale to produce desired project outcomes

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to convey ideas in a clear and concise manner

  • Advanced investigative, analytical and problem solving skills; demonstrated ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted technology solutions

  • Advanced communication and change management skills; demonstrated ability to influence a wide range of audiences, from individual contributors to senior leaders

  • Requirements management tools (Jira, Azure Dev Ops, etc.)

  • Advanced knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies

Compensation Range:

$104,350.00 - $155,350.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
