The Director of Government Relations serves as the primary liaison between Freeman Health System and local, state, and federal government entities. This role is responsible for advocating for policies that support the health systems mission to improve the health of the communities it serves. The Director will monitor legislative developments, build strategic relationships with policymakers, and lead advocacy efforts that align with Freemans operational and strategic goals. Responsible for arranging meetings with representatives in local, state, and federal offices. Requirements:Bachelors degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Health Administration, or related field (Masters preferred).7 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or legislative affairs, preferably in a health care setting.
