Position Overview

The Sales Executive (Vice President, Payer Sales) is responsible for driving revenue acquisition by identifying potential new clients for Zelis products and services, contacting those prospects to present our products and value proposition, closing the sale by obtaining a signed service agreement, and overseeing the implementation process for the new client into Zelis' production environment. This role is part of the Property & Casualty team, focusing on selling to workers' compensation, auto, and other property and casualty payers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Become a recognized sales leader on all Zelis products by meeting or exceeding quotas.
  2. Gain thorough knowledge of Zelis products and their value to clients.
  3. Partner with the sales team and Subject Matter Experts to identify client requirements and recommend solutions.
  4. Develop and deliver sales presentations to qualified Property & Casualty prospects.
  5. Support proposal creation and collaborate on pricing strategies that balance client value and Zelis margins.
  6. Follow through on presentations to deliver proposals, negotiate agreements, and close sales.
  7. Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through various outreach methods.
  8. Identify opportunities within existing client accounts.
  9. Represent Zelis at industry trade shows and conferences.
  10. Develop new uses, fits, and partnerships within the Property & Casualty market.
  11. Track, forecast, and report on sales activities and opportunities.
  12. Maintain an understanding of each client's business needs to provide appropriate services.
  13. Manage leads and activities using Salesforce.com.
  14. Conduct business with integrity and professionalism, utilizing a consultative sales approach.
  15. Build and maintain relationships with C-level decision makers in your territory.
  16. Ensure adherence to privacy standards.

Professional Experience:

  • Proven success in generating interest and sales within the Property & Casualty industry.
  • 10+ years of sales prospecting, lead generation, and solution selling experience.
  • Experience selling to payers and understanding their operational goals.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
  • Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.com, is preferred.

Education:

  • College degree required; advanced degrees preferred.

Location and Workplace Flexibility:

Offices are located in Atlanta, Boston, Morristown, Plano, St. Louis, St. Petersburg, and Hyderabad. We support a hybrid and remote work culture, with specific arrangements based on role and team needs.
