MU Health Care is searching for a visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Hospital Services to lead and elevate operations across multiple locations and clinical service lines. In this high-impact role, you'll work closely with the Health System COO to drive strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and ensure top-tier patient care and regulatory compliance. As the operational leader of MU Health Care, you'll oversee critical goals, collaborate with teams, and promote healthcare innovation.

As part of an leadership triad, you'll partner with nursing and physician leaders to develop strategies for essential service lines. You'll lead performance improvement initiatives, adopt new technologies, and manage transformative change while maintaining safety, quality, and patient satisfaction standards. SALARY RANGE: $322,000.00 - $558,000.00

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

• Serve as operational leader for MU Health Care locations within a triad leadership model.
• Manage short and long-term operational, quality, and financial goals.
• Partner with the Health System COO as a trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with teams to identify challenges and improvement opportunities.
• Use data to evaluate operations and improve patient care.
• Develop and communicate strategic roadmaps with clear goals and actions.
• Establish organizational structure, resource allocation, and technology enhancements.
• Guide planning for facilities and equipment to meet needs.
• Gain support for initiatives through collaboration and effective communication.
• Ensure compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
• Develop change management strategies and drive performance improvements.
• Monitor impacts of changes and adjust as needed.
• Manage organizational change with clear vision and expectations.
• Partner with medical staff in planning and operations.
• Perform unit-specific duties as outlined.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in health administration, business administration, or related field.
• At least 10 years of healthcare management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in an academic medical center or large tertiary hospital.
