SHIFT: Days

Pay: $17.50 to start and after 60 days $19.15

RESPONSIBILITY:

Make routine checks on all products in their area. Must be familiar with the different product specs, as well as have knowledge of the process. The Process Monitor will document all problems promptly to the department supervisor for correction. The person will make checks on a set pattern to alleviate problems at the point of origin.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all company and plant quality policies, including but not limited to USDA and state regulations, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) program, Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP's), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• Verify pre-operational and operational sanitation procedures.
• Conduct pre-operational and operational swabs.
• Monitor product attributes to ensure that product quality is at targeted levels.
• Perform job functions and duties in a manner compliant with company safety policies and procedures.
• Train production staff regarding quality standards, product specifications and GMP's.
• Compile reports on nonconforming product and nonconforming plant issues.

• Complete and maintain HACCP, SSOP, lab, and plant quality records.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist with periodic audits of the recordkeeping files to ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings.
• Solid understanding of GMP, USDA and Canadian Food and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
• Solid computer knowledge to include ability to create and modify files in a word processing and spreadsheet program.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Solid knowledge of food manufacturing processes and related equipment preferred.
• Solid knowledge of federal and state regulations relevant to the food processing industry preferred.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate verbally and through writing is essential.
• Attendance – Be on time to work
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to use laboratory equipment devices.
